Running mscore manually with the -e option ice the following output: Seems to imply a sort of class-driver/library problem with non-"standard" audio devices - anything but the default audio output doesn't work. Selecting Airplay produces the same results at selecting a Bluetooth device, viz: 2.0.3.1 works dandy, 2.1 and later nada nada nada. What I hadn't noticed before is that, if there is an Airplay device in the neighbourhood, there will also be an Airplay option in the Preferences output device list. I just built the development version and it, like 2.2 and 2.1 before it cannot output to B/T.
